I’m 37…but do I really act and feel like I am 37? We work with so many clients who are so much healthier than their “age” says they should be. They are in their 60s, yet they feel and perform better than they did at 40.

Exercise and aging is a topic that comes up frequently. In fact, during an open Q&A in our Eat, Live, Train Facebook group, this topic came up. What should you change with your exercise as you age? How much is too much? Am I too old? Will I hurt myself?

Here’s the great news. You don’t have to completely accept what someone has told you will happen as you age. Just because you’re 40 doesn’t mean you’re over the hill and everything with your health is going to start going downhill. Just because you’re 60 doesn’t mean you have to resign yourself to water aerobics and doctor appointments.

Exercise and aging is different for everyone. The beauty is, you have a lot of control over how you continue to exercise {and respond to life} as you age.

Wait until you’re my age.

Really? Has anyone who is crushing it in life ever really said and meant that statement? Yet, here we are telling people this all the time. “Oh, just wait until you’re my age…everything is going to hurt.” “Wait until you turn 50….you won’t be able to move like you used to.”

You can be fit, healthy, happy, and on your way to awesome regardless of your age.

Exercise and Aging

Will you continue to let age be your limitation?

What are you willing to allow in your life that keeps you stuck? Is it your age? Your past? Is it your struggle? What about your attitude?

“Fight for your limitations, and you get to keep them.”
