I am definitely a fan of quick, effective kettlebell workouts.  If you’ve been checking out the Wednesday workouts for a little while, you can probably tell that I am not a fan of wasting time.  Time is a precious commodity, so if I can get my workouts done in 30 mintu

If you want to get a great workout in a short amount of time, you need to try this one.  All that you need is a watch, a kettlebell, and somewhere to run a half mile.  G

Speed Rounds

The structure of today’s workout actually came from a workout that Tia Claire Toomey  posted on Instagram.  Her version was actually only 8 minutes, and it included a barbell.  My Saturday workout group and I did it one weekend, and it was tough.  Thankfully, it inspired this workout.

Start and end this workout with a half mile run.  You will complete a total of 8 rounds of the strength circuit, starting one round every 2 minutes.

  • 1/2 Mile Run
  • 8 Rounds {starting 1 round every 2 minutes}
    • 6 Thrusters
    • 8 Overhead Swings
    • 8 Squat and Pulls
    • 6 Chest to Floor Burpees
  • 1/2 Mile Run

The goal of this workout is to complete the strength circuit as fast as possible with good form.  Ideally, you should get plenty of rest each round.

If you are short on time, I would suggest cutting out the runs.  By doing this, you have a 16 minute workout.  If you don’t have time for a 16 minute workout {plus a short warm up and cool down}, we need to chat, and you definitely need to jump into the health coaching program.

How Fast Can You Go

Did you get some rest?  How did you feel?

I hope that you enjoyed this workout as much as I did.  Keep this structure.  It works well with pretty much any exercise.  Mentally, for me at least, this is a great workout where I can zone out and simply focus on one exercise at a time.

No excuses.  Just get it done.
