The FOF “Anywhere Workout” is one that everyone needs to try at some point.  The concept is so simple, and you can literally do this workout anywhere (hence the name) as long as you have a small area to run.  You don’t need a towel, you don’t need grass, and you definitely don’t need any equipment.

With ball season and kids’ practices in full swing, I would bet that you do have 30 minutes to get this workout done at some point during the week.  Make the most of the hours that you are “watching practice” aka looking at your phone, and get this workout done.  You can substitute the exercises to change this up, but the structure is solid.  Don’t feel comfortable running far away from you kids, or have a limited space?  No worries, just run (put one foot in front of the other) for 5 minutes.

Here we go!

The “Anywhere Workout”

The goal of this workout is to repeat it at a moderate to intense pace for around 30 minutes.  If you don’t have 30 minutes, cut it down a little.  Have more than 30 minutes?  Keep going or add a few exercises.  If you are at a park or a place with benches, get creative.  Use your surroundings.  The ability to use my surroundings is one of the many things I love about outdoor workouts.

All REPS = 20

  • Run 1/2 Mile OR 5 Minutes
  • Burpees
  • Push ups
  • Squat Jumps
  • Jumping Jacks

Repeat for 30 minutes.

Get Out and Do It

Go outside and do this workout.  Bring your kids with you.  Knock it out at practice or while the kids play at the park.  Head to your local track.  Get outside.  Challenge yourself to get out of the gym and into an environment that doesn’t have A/C, has a changing terrain, and provides other challenges such as humidity and wind.  Check out a few reasons to move your workout outside here.

No excuses on this one.  You don’t need any fancy equipment, and you need very little space.  Go anywhere, and get this one done.
