Thrusters and burpees…what’s not to love?  Today’s list might be short, but this workout packs a good punch.

See, we have this little saying at our Fixed on Fitness classes.  It’s known as the “short board workout.”  What this means is that the board contains very few lines.  At first glance, it looks pretty easy.  However, it’s a short board.  This means it’s going to be tough, and there’s no way around it.

So, don’t get turned off by the simplicity of this workout.  It’s a great one, and all that you need is a kettlebell.  Are you ready for some thrusters and burpees…and a run? 

4 Rounds for Time

The goal of this workout is to move as fast as possible for four rounds.  The speed at which you move is what makes this workout tough.  We threw in a new burpee variation for you today as well.  It’s not fancy, but it definitely disrupts your flow, making the burpee a little harder.

I would recommend grabbing a heavier kettlebell for this workout.  The thrusters are 2-handed, so it’s a great workout to test your ability with an extra few pounds.

4 Rounds for Time

  • 20 Thrusters
  • 10 Double Jack Chest to Floor Burpees
  • .50 Mile Run
  • x4

What are you waiting for?  Go mark out your half mile, or head to the local track.  You can definitely do this workout inside the gym or in your home if you have a treadmill.
